Hakim is the Head of Risk Management and Internal Control at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Over his 25-year career, he has worked in both the private sector at PricewaterhouseCoopers —in Zurich and Lausanne— and the public sector, including the Swiss Federal Audit Office and various roles within the ETH Domain.

He has built extensive experience in Switzerland and internationally through numerous assignments in audit, risk management, compliance, and financial governance. His work has also included financial reporting conversion projects, performance and financial audits, analyses of multi-level governance models, and complex public-private partnerships.

Hakim was elected as an independent expert for the 2022–2027 legislative term to the cantonal parliamentary commission responsible for advising the Grand Council of Vaud on the appointment of judges to the Cantonal Court of Audit.

He holds both an MSc in Management from HEC Lausanne and a Master’s in Public Administration from IDHEAP at the University of Lausanne. Hakim is also a Certified Public Accountant (EXPERTsuisse) and is licensed by the Swiss Federal Audit Oversight Authority.
